Life in theSouth

Life in the South? EX-HAUS-TING! And it's not for everyone … You'll need to love the sun, siestas and – most importantly – myrtle liqueur. Then, you have to adapt to the rhythm. "Pianamente è bè," as we say here. Put simply, "slowly, but surely". A bit cliché? Maybe …

Our "obsessive slowness", let's face it, is indeed clichéd. In the south, even the donkeys have learned to exceed 5 km/h. It's all about motivation … As for the rest, let us explain.

A morning in theSouth

The sun is essential. And there's no arguing that this is one of the main attractions of the island of Corsica. This Corsica which, we must remind you, is THE southern land par excellence. Yes, we excel when it comes to our quality of life. It's simple: enjoying a holiday here (and when we say here, we mean the hotel U Capu Biancu in the extreme south of the south!) means getting up long after our chickens (who are, themselves, late risers). It means enjoying lunch with your eyes fixed on the Mediterranean, wandering in the fragrant gardens and breathing in the sea-salted aromas. It's lounging on hot sand, or on a deckchair.

A southern middaybreak

But careful, the day has only just begun! Once these difficult morning moments have passed, it's time to ramp up our efforts and travel to the beach hut, where we sit and enjoy a salad or fish, paired with an ice-cold rosé. Then, we're off to the Siestodrome! And, believe us, that's where the real "Capubianquist" adventure begins: time for idleness!

An afternoon in theSouth

At this stage of the day, a hint of sport wouldn't go amiss. It's truly a win-win situation: swimming at sea or in a swimming pool, paddle boarding, boating or perhaps pétanque? As you'll soon understand, visiting the south without enjoying a game of pétanque is a crime of high treason! Rest assured, U Capu Biancu has its own pétanque court. So, to the cochonnet!

An evening in theSouth

Days in the south (and especially at the hotel U Capu Biancu) are so EX-HAUS-TING that you'll need to refresh yourself with an aperitif. A fresh, juicy cocktail. Or a glass of "nustrale" wine. Or, why not, the unbeatable pastis? On top of all this, a dish crafted by Gadio El Hadji, a wander in the gardens to walk it off and then to bed! But hush! Be careful not to wake up our chickens, already in their beds …
